The last two weeks I’ve reflected on Wow and Thanks, two words that Author Anne Lamott lifts up as essential prayers in her book “Help Thanks Wow: The Three Essential Prayers.” As a prayer, Wow reminds us to slow down, notice, and appreciate the amazing world around us.
As always Ken, I'm enjoying your blog. The Wow and Thanks were good, but I especially liked this one on Help. To further reinforce all that you've said, my interpretation of Jesus on the Cross is that he made himself so totally vulnerable to the power of love that he paid with his life. The cross shows him with his arms totally outstretched and his heart totally open. And of course, he asked for help from the cross. I aspire to such a level of humility that I overcome my need to be in control that keeps me afraid to ask for help. I have a very long way to go!
Beautiful and inspiring. Thank you!
